Title: Financial Accounting Specialist – AI Model Evaluation

Pay Rate: $100/hr

Hours: 20–40/week, flexible schedule (Pick your own hours!)

Summary:

We are seeking experienced Financial Accounting Specialists to support the development and evaluation of AI systems focused on real-world accounting workflows. In this role, you will apply your accounting expertise to review AI-generated outputs, translate complex financial processes into structured tasks, and ensure accuracy, compliance, and completeness.

This is a unique opportunity to combine deep accounting knowledge with emerging technology, working on high-impact initiatives that improve how financial workflows are understood and executed at scale. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable navigating complex scenarios and judgment-based decisions.

What You’ll Do:

• Review AI-generated accounting work for accuracy, compliance, and completeness
• Translate real-world accounting workflows into structured tasks and logic
• Analyze financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
• Provide clear, actionable feedback to improve AI outputs
• Document accounting logic, assumptions, and decision-making processes
• Support ongoing improvements to AI models through iterative evaluation

Domain Exposure May Include:

• Month-end and year-end close processes
• Journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
• Financial statement preparation and review
• Account reconciliations and variance analysis
• GAAP / IFRS compliance and audit support
• Tax, regulatory filings, and multi-jurisdictional considerations

What You Bring:

• 5–8+ years of experience in accounting, audit, or financial operations
• Strong knowledge of GAAP (IFRS familiarity a plus)
• Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to interpret complex financial scenarios and apply sound judgment
• Strong written communication skills with ability to clearly document processes and decisions

Bonus Points If You Have:

• CPA or equivalent certification
• Experience owning or contributing to month-end or year-end close processes
• Experience working with complex or edge-case accounting scenarios
• Exposure to audit, internal controls, or compliance environments
• Interest in AI, data systems, or emerging technologies
