Talent Acquisition Coordinator
Location: San Diego, CA — Onsite
Assignment Length: 6 months
Pay Rate: $20.80–$29.84/hour
Position Summary
The Talent Acquisition Coordinator plays a critical role in delivering a seamless, high-quality hiring experience while enabling our Talent Acquisition team to scale effectively. This position sits at the center of recruiting operations, driving coordination, optimizing processes, and ensuring every candidate and stakeholder interaction reflects excellence.
In this role, you will directly support the candidate experience and operational efficiency of the recruiting function. You will manage complex recruiting activities, improve workflows, maintain data integrity, and partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and HR stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage complex interview scheduling across multiple teams, stakeholders, and time zones
- Ensure a seamless candidate experience through proactive communication and strong logistical coordination
- Support interview travel coordination, expense processing, and large-scale interview events or hubs
- Partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and HR partners to manage requisition workflows, approvals, and job postings
- Oversee background checks, employment verifications, MVR checks, and reference checks, including vendor coordination
- Maintain and optimize data integrity within Workday ATS, SharePoint, and recruiting dashboards
- Support reporting, analytics, and data audits to identify trends and improve recruiting effectiveness
- Document and continuously improve Talent Acquisition processes, workflows, and best practices
- Serve as a subject matter expert on TA systems and tools; provide onboarding, training, and support to team members
- Assist with agency and vendor coordination, including contracts (MSA, SOW, CMS) and related processes
- Contribute to ongoing enhancements of Talent Acquisition programs and operations
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Associate’s degree with 2+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, HR, or People Operations OR Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field with relevant experience
- Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems; Workday strongly preferred
- Experience supporting recruiting efforts in complex, fast-paced environments
- Experience supporting high-volume or complex interview scheduling
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, and recruiting systems
- Experience working within large, matrixed organizations
- Familiarity with recruiting analytics, dashboards, and reporting
- Exposure to life sciences or commercial hiring environments preferred
