Position Summary

We are seeking an Environmental & Safety Project Manager to support environmental compliance and workplace safety activities for its Base Operations Support Contract.

 

This position is responsible for environmental permitting, inspections, regulatory reporting, compliance, and recordkeeping across NCW and Arnold facilities. The role will also support the Site Safety Program Manager with safety programs, training, inspections, and day-to-day program administration.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage environmental compliance activities involving air permits, underground storage tanks, hazardous and universal waste, TSCA requirements, refrigerant/Freon management, spill prevention, stormwater, wastewater, and hazard communication/reporting.
  • Maintain required environmental permits, inspection records, reports, documentation, and regulatory records in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Inspect facilities, workplace environments, equipment, and work practices for compliance with environmental, safety, and public health regulations.
  • Support administration of the site's Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) programs, including program documentation and file management.
  • Provide coverage for the Safety Program Manager when needed, including managing schedules, communications, team productivity, and Safety Annex activities.
  • Coordinate and participate in Safety Committee meetings and project meetings to identify potential environmental impacts of upcoming work.
  • Assist with environmental and safety training for ServiceSource and NCW personnel, including required documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Coordinate environmental inspections performed by outside agencies, respond to findings, implement corrective actions, and track issues through resolution.
  • Document health-related complaints and assist with facility inspections for compliance with applicable public health requirements.
  • Serve as a Real Property Subject Matter Expert, provide training on real property management, perform related duties during coverage periods, and participate in the NGA Real Property Working Group.
  • Develop team goals and monitor and report on productivity and performance.
  • Support a professional, responsive relationship with customers and internal stakeholders.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or state-certified equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental science, or a related specialty preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience with environmental, safety, and health programs preferred.
  • Previous experience conducting or administering environmental, safety, and health programs preferred.
  • Experience interpreting and preparing permits, inspections, regulatory documentation, laboratory data, and compliance records.
  • Strong understanding of environmental and workplace safety compliance practices.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with employees and stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
  • Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation for work-related travel required; eligible drivers must maintain a good motor vehicle record.
  • Top Secret/SCI government security clearance is required.

 

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience supporting environmental compliance and EHS programs in a regulated facility environment and is comfortable managing permits, inspections, hazardous waste requirements, regulatory documentation, corrective actions, and safety program activities while working closely with customers and operational teams.
