Job Title: Compensation Analyst (Remote CST)

Location: Remote (Must work CST or reside in CST time zone)

Rate: $60/hr ( Weekly pay + Medical Benefits)

Duration: 4-month contract with strong potential to extend

Full-time: M-F

Job Brief:

The Total Rewards team is seeking a Compensation Analyst to serve as a key point of contact during the annual compensation cycle. This role involves providing clear guidance to managers, compensation planners, and People team partners, ensuring accurate and timely execution of the compensation process.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit compensation planning files and system submissions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with program guidelines and approved budgets.
  • Identify data discrepancies or errors, proactively follow up with planners, and secure corrected submissions within required timelines.
  • Track planning progress and escalating risks or delays to ensure on-time completion of the compensation cycle.
  • Prepare executive-level summary materials, including decks and written analyses, highlighting key planning decisions, trends, and outcomes.
  • Support the development of compensation communications, including manager guidance, FAQs, and employee-facing materials.
  • Collaborate closely with Total Rewards, HR Business Partners, Finance, and Legal (as needed) to ensure smooth execution of the compensation cycle.
  • Maintain documentation of processes, decisions, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement in future cycles.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5–10 years of experience supporting annual compensation planning cycles in a corporate environment.
  • Experience in corporate HR or Total Rewards environments supporting multi-level compensation processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Compensation Planning tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including potential support for C-suite executives.
  • Experience with presentation tools (PowerPoint or Google Slides).
  • Must be a strong team player, willing to jump in and support the organization at large.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient execution of the annual compensation cycle.
  • Provide actionable insights through data analysis and executive reporting.
  • Support managers and employees in understanding compensation decisions and programs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of Total Rewards processes across the organization.
  • Proven ability to audit and validate complex data sets with high attention to detail.
