Our leading Software Development client is hiring a temporary, IT Purchasing Specialist-Level 2 to join their growing team, supporting North America. This assignment is approved currently for 5 months at which time there is potential for extension or conversion based on worker productivity and ongoing business need.
The ideal candidate is well-organized and great at relationship building as they will be directly supporting employees and working with team members throughout the world. As the IT Purchasing Specialist, you will carry out all tasks allocated by the IT Purchasing Lead, which may include conducting research on potential suppliers, raising requisitions, and updating stock records.
Main duties:
- Carry out all tasks allocated by the IT Purchasing Lead, Dayana, which may include conducting research on potential suppliers, raising requisitions, and updating stock records.
- Handle all IT purchasing requests for the EMEA offices and employees
- Prepare and maintain an inventory of all IT assets and stock
- Handle all aspects of IT asset lifecycle including provisioning and de-provisioning of employee hardware
- Procure and ship various IT products to employees in multiple offices located in U.S./Canada
Requirements/skills
- 1+ years of experience in an end-user support or purchasing role
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and establish good working relationships
- Review JIRA tickets daily and take action as needed
- Coordinate the shipment of assets
- Raising purchase orders
- Ensure required documentation is on file with purchase orders and ensure purchase order accuracy
- Ability to communicate with internal stakeholders throughout the purchase order process updating them on information obtained through the search of items including changes required due to pricing, availability, and updated delivery times.
- Track and monitor deliveries and address any delays
- Manage office hardware stock in accordance with company’s policy
- Prepare inventory reports
- Prepare reports on orders, tracking, delivery
- Update tracking information on Zendesk tickets
- Arrange and coordinate reverse pickups and also verify them once they are delivered
- Review the stock delivered to office from Suppliers ( if quantity is correct or right asset is delivered)
- Monitor stock levels and share timely reports in order to place new POs
- Experience procuring computer hardware and peripherals
- Working knowledge of inventory management and shipping/receiving
- The ability to clearly communicate complex topics to a wide range of employees in both verbal and written form
- A naturally calm and empathetic demeanor under pressure, combined with the ability to concurrently solve multiple issues in real-time
- Good math and negotiation skills
- Hands-on familiarity with macOS & Apple hardware administration is a plus
- Experience with technologies we use preferred:
- macOS Server, Linux, VoIP, Confluence, JIRA, Google Apps, JAMF, Meraki
