Title: Localization Producer (Video & Content)

Location: Remote (Must work Pacific Time / Cupertino hours)

Duration: 6-month contract

Weekly Hours: Full-time


Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized Localization Producer to support the end-to-end localization of video and content experiences across Retail Communications, Training, and Marketing initiatives. This role focuses on managing workflows, tracking progress, and ensuring quality across subtitles, captions, translations, motion graphics, and accessibility deliverables.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and brings strong attention to detail, flexibility, and ownership to every project. You will partner closely with producers, linguists, motion designers, publishing teams, and external vendors to ensure smooth workflows and on-time delivery of high-quality localized content.


What You’ll Do:

  • Manage the full video localization lifecycle, from transcription and translation through QA and final delivery
  • Track project schedules, timelines, and deliverables to ensure deadlines are consistently met
  • Partner with publishing teams to confirm technical requirements for internal platforms
  • Prepare detailed briefs for linguists and external agencies, providing clear context and references
  • Review and validate English transcripts for accuracy, including spelling, punctuation, and terminology
  • Collect, track, and incorporate feedback from linguists, editors, and stakeholders
  • Ensure localized assets adhere to style guides, accessibility standards, and formatting requirements
  • Troubleshoot basic video issues such as compression, formatting, and file delivery
  • Maintain organized multimedia libraries with up-to-date localized assets
  • Keep process documentation current as workflows and requirements evolve
  • Create and manage projects within a Translation Management System (TMS), overseeing translation, validation, and in-context review
  • Evaluate project scope and priorities while setting expectations and communicating schedules with business owners
  • Partner with producers, editors, and stakeholders to resolve content, translation, or workflow issues


What You Bring:

  • Experience managing video localization projects end to end
  • Familiarity with subtitling, captioning, transcription, and video localization workflows
  • Hands-on experience with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or Final Cut
  • Experience working with translation tools, including translation memory, glossaries, and termbases
  • Familiarity with TMS platforms, project management tools, and bug tracking systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects across time zones
  • Comfort working through ambiguity in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Proactive, adaptable mindset with strong ownership and accountability
  • Ability to think creatively and analytically to drive project success


Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Proficiency with Apple products and applications
  • Additional language skills beyond English


Education & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience as a project manager within the localization industry, creative agency, or media environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Communications, or a related field preferred
