Title: Growth & Marketing Lead (Gaming/VR)
Location: Remote, USA
Payrate: $65-75/hr
Type: W2 Contract (Ongoing)
Hours: 20 hrs/week to start, 40hrs/week in 2026
We create custom-fit VR facial interfaces, manufactured uniquely for each customer using an iPhone-powered face scan. We operate in a growing niche at the intersection of VR, personalization, and advanced 3D manufacturing.
The core challenge is educating consumers on a new category (“custom-fit VR accessories”) and helping them understand why fit, comfort, and precision matter. We are early stage, premium positioned, and rapidly evolving. Our funnel blends ecommerce with a mobile scanning workflow, and our customers are gamers, prosumers, creators, and VR newcomers.
This is not a typical ecommerce brand. The value is in the design service, not a commodity product. Marketing requires clarity, storytelling, experimentation, and education.
ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Growth & Marketing Lead to build and execute a marketing engine grounded in organic content, storytelling, landing page optimization, and influencer partnerships.
You will use clear attribution signals to understand what content, channels, and partnerships are working and help shape our learn-build-measure cycle.
This person will collaborate directly with the founder and have broad influence on brand messaging, content, funnels, email communication, and product development priorities that enable new channels or reduce friction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Organic Content & Social Media (Primary Focus)
- Build a steady content engine across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube/Shorts.
- Produce or edit high-quality short-form videos (strong video editing skills required).
- Explain our value clearly through founder-led content, product demos, educational pieces, and user stories.
- Use attribution links and QR codes on every piece of content to measure true impact.
Landing Pages, SEO & Conversion Optimization
- Improve landing page structure, clarity, CTAs, and narrative flow.
- Strengthen SEO around VR accessories, comfort, custom fit, Quest headsets, and related terms.
- Analyze user behavior (scroll depth, dwell time, bounce) and recommend improvements.
- Help optimize our content and UX for both web-to-app and web-to-form paths.
Influencer & Community Growth
- Identify creators in the VR, gaming, tech, and comfort-mod spaces.
- Coordinate outreach, product seeding, affiliate tracking, and campaign measurement.
- Provide influencers branded short links or QR codes tied to AppsFlyer attribution.
Customer Journey, Support Content & Email
- Improve our product instructions, unboxing experience, QR-linked inserts, “getting started” videos, and cleaning/usage guides.
- Develop simple lifecycle emails (welcome, scan-ready reminders, how-to guides).
- Reduce support volume by strengthening customer education before and after the sale.
Creative Opportunities & Experimental Channels
- Propose and test unconventional avenues such as QR code distribution (local gaming cafés, VR arcades, meetups, tournaments, coworking spaces, hobbyist groups, etc).
- Identify new top-of-funnel opportunities and propose experiments grounded in attribution data.
Analytics, Attribution & Insights
- Use the attribution signals and lightweight reporting tools already in place to interpret performance across channels. The emphasis is on insight and action.
- Build lightweight reporting around acquisition, funnels, and creative performance.
- Translate attribution insights into actionable weekly recommendations.
Light Paid Growth (Secondary Focus)
- Conduct small, disciplined paid tests across Google, Meta, TikTok, or YouTube.
- Focus on learning and validating hypotheses rather than heavy budget spend.
- Build small creative sets and measure performance using attribution tools.
Input Into Product & Development Priorities
- Provide grounded feedback on changes that can open new marketing channels or reduce user friction (e.g. simplifying scan flow, improving app onboarding, strengthening web-to-app transitions).
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 4+ years’ experience in content-driven growth, organic social, SEO, or product marketing.
- Strong visual and video editing skills; ability to turn raw footage into compelling short-form content.
- Clear, concise communicator who can explain technical products in simple language.
- Experience optimizing landing pages and understanding user behavior analytics.
- Strong data literacy and ability to reason from attribution signals, without needing to own dashboard engineering or analytics infrastructure.
- Comfort working with attribution signals (UTMs, click tracking, short links) and the willingness to learn our tools.
- Comfort working in a small company with fast experimentation cycles.
Nice to Have
- Experience in VR, gaming, wearables, or tech hardware.
- Background in influencer management or creator outreach.
- Exposure to email lifecycle marketing and customer experience design.
- Familiarity with iOS, app funnels, or hybrid ecommerce/app journeys.
