Location: Austin, TX

Employment Type: on-going assignment with possibility for extension/conversion

Pay Rate: $20–$25/hour

Schedule: Part-time (Tuesday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM)

Hours: Approximately 18 hours/week


Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Facility Coordinator to support day-to-day facility and office operations in an Austin, TX office environment.

In this role, you will coordinate facility maintenance, office administration, health and safety activities, environmental initiatives, and office events. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, customer-service oriented, and comfortable coordinating with employees, department leaders, vendors, and service providers.

This position is expected to be an ongoing engagement, with a part-time schedule of approximately 18 hours per week.


What You'll Do

  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to support office repairs, maintenance, and facility improvements, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security
  • Monitor office space allocation and utilization to support the needs of various departments and teams
  • Manage office supplies and equipment procurement, maintaining appropriate inventory levels and ensuring resources are properly allocated
  • Implement and support office policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a professional and organized workplace
  • Support compliance with applicable health and safety requirements and implement measures to help prevent workplace hazards and accidents
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, fire drills, and emergency preparedness activities
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities regarding required permits and licenses for office operations
  • Promote environmentally responsible office practices, including waste reduction, recycling, and energy conservation
  • Identify opportunities for green initiatives and other efforts to reduce the organization's environmental impact
  • Foster a positive and collaborative office environment through effective communication and coordination
  • Support department heads and team leaders with office space and equipment requirements
  • Coordinate logistics and facilities arrangements for office events and meetings
  • Provide a high level of customer service to employees and office leadership
  • Identify and address facility and office issues proactively, escalating as appropriate


What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–3 years of experience in a related facility, office administration, workplace services, or coordination role
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with vendors, service providers, employees, and leadership
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple responsibilities
