Reporting Data Analyst – Tableau (Remote)

Location: Remote (Based in Dallas, TX) 

Pay Range: $57-$67/hr 

Duration: 3-month Project Assignment

With tens of millions of users, hundreds of millions of downloads, 2+ billion swipes per day, 20+ million matches per day, and a presence in 190+ countries, their reach is expanding and rapidly growing.  Our client is seeking a skilled Reporting Data Analyst with 3-7 years of experience to join their data team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Tableau for data visualization and reporting, along with hands-on experience working with modern data platforms like Databricks or Amazon Redshift. 

 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated reports and dashboards using Tableau to support business decision-making, creating interactive visualizations and self-service analytics solutions for various stakeholders 
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that drive business value while ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and quality across all reporting systems 
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Databricks/Redshift environments, optimizing SQL queries and data models for performance and scalability 
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and support ad-hoc analysis requests for strategic initiatives 
  • Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences, providing data-driven insights that influence business decisions 
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing reporting systems while collaborating on data warehouse design and maintenance activities 
  • Document processes, methodologies, and best practices for reporting workflows to ensure knowledge transfer and operational efficiency 

 

 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field 
  • 3-7 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, or similar role with proven expertise in dashboard creation, data visualization, and report development 
  • Strong technical proficiency in Tableau (Desktop and Server/Cloud) – Must pass a Tableau assessment
  • Experience in SQL for data querying and analysis,
  • Must have hands-on experience with Databricks or Amazon Redshift (or similar cloud data platforms) 
  • Experience with custom dash board creation to spec
  • Data management expertise including data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing concepts, and best practices with familiarity in Python or R for data analysis (preferred) 
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with ability to solve complex problems, present data insights clearly to diverse audiences, and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams 
  • Strong attention to detail with focus on data accuracy, quality assurance, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with additional BI tools (Power BI, Looker), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and version control systems (Git) 
  • Understanding of statistical analysis, data science concepts, and industry-specific domain knowledge relevant to the business
