Production Technician - 2nd shift

Location: Irvine, CA ( local candidates)

Pay Rate: $24.50/hr ( Weekly pay + medical benefits)

Duration: 1 yr contract ( Excellent potential for extension)

Full-time: M-F 1:30pm – 10pm ( 2nd shift)

 

 

**This role requires stable work history . Must have experience in manufacturing or production experience, preferably being a team lead/manager. Ability to lead or support a production team in a fast-paced environment

Experience to meet daily production, quality, and delivery goals.

 

 

Training period: First 4 weeks on First Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) before moving to 2nd shift 1:30pm-10pm

Role Overview

As a Production Technician I, you will lead or support production activities within a team-based manufacturing environment. This role involves hands-on work with semi-automated production lines, manual packing, and other production-related tasks. You will collaborate closely with operators to meet daily production, quality, and delivery goals.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Perform final kit assembly of packaged products used to calibrate and quality-check diagnostic testing platforms for hospitals, clinics, and laboratories
  • Conduct in-process and final quality inspections to ensure products meet quality standards
  • Complete delivery of Finished Goods to the Distribution Warehouse
  • Follow and interpret standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Lead or support a production team, coordinating tasks to meet production goals
  • Accurately complete and review quality documentation, process orders, and batch records in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Perform inventory and quality transactions using the SAP Inventory System
  • Support general production operations, including working on semi-automated lines and manual carton packing

 

Required Qualifications & Skills

 

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3yrs manufacturing or production experience ( bonus if it was a lead/manager position)
  • Ability to lead or support a production team in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience to meet daily production, quality, and delivery goals.
  • Experience in inventory using the SAP Inventory System or similar
  • Strong math, reading, and writing skills
  • Comfortable following procedures, work instructions, and quality standards
  • Ability to manage time, people, and resources effectively
  • Goal-oriented team player with leadership capability
  • Able to work with a diverse group of teammates
  • Basic experience using computers and software systems
  • Willingness to train on first shift and transition to second shift - First 4 weeks on First Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) before moving to 2nd shift M-F 1:30pm – 10pm
  • Pass background and drug test
