Logistics Associate

Payrate: $25-$29/hr DOE

Our leading technology Development client is hiring a temporary Logistics Associate to join their team for 4 months. We are looking for someone with experience in Warehouse, Shipping and Receiving. The ideal candidate will be reliable, will be able to commit for the entire assignment and a hard worker who has a mentality to support the team even when their work is complete. Job Duties:

(a) Warehouse

  • Physically / systematically receive material into the Warehouse.
  • Daily perform cycle counting program.
  • Ensure Accuracy of inventory at 99% Gross and Net
  • Parts labelled and in proper location
  • Pull Internal Work Orders for manufacturing builds in 72 hours.
  • Pull Domestic and International sales order for shipping within 24-48 hours.
  • Perform real-time transaction in JDE.
  • Answer emails inquiries from internal and external customers on a timely basis.
  • Work very closely with planning department on material that has been received for back orders.

(b) Shipping

  • Responsible for enforcement of transportation agreements & services, export controls and containment of domestic and international freight expenses.
  • Prepare shipping documents and schedule freight forwarders pickups as required.
  • Logistics Associate duties also include crating, boxing wrapping.
  • Answer emails inquiries from internal and external customers on a timely basis.
  • Logistics Associate is responsible for tracking and shipping orders to customers, and verifying that products arrive on time; for International and Domestic sales orders

(c) Receiving

  • Unload and unpack shipments from freight carriers.
  • Inspect inbound shipments for damage and correct quantities
  • Match shipments to their corresponding purchase orders and enter receiving data on paperwork into JDE system.
  • Work very closely with purchasing department on purchase orders with discrepancies.
  • Work very closely with planning department on material that has been received for back orders.
  • Receive Purchase Orders in 48 hours.

Requirements:

·        High school diploma and 3-year experience shipping and in manufacturing environment.

  • Must be able to perform computer and data entry skills.
  • JDE ERP experience preferred.

·        Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to follow verbal or written instruction.

·        Good basic math skills - adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division.

·        Ability to make simple decisions, to follow instructions, and to be detail oriented. Ability to logically and systematically solve problems, research problems and notify supervisor or manager of problems that they cannot solve.

·        While performing the duties of this job, Associate stands, walks, reaches with hands, climbs, and may crouch or kneel.

·        While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is required to lift weight of 25 -50 lbs. on an intermittent basis.

·        Work is performed in shipping/manufacturing environment noise level is usually moderate
