Lead Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) REMOTE
Behavioral Health & Substance Use Disorder (Outpatient)
Location: North Smithfield, RI (REMOTE) Telehealth
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $150,000–$170,000 annually + full benefits

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
- Provide medication management and follow-up care
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based psychiatric services for adults and adolescents
- Collaborate with therapists and support staff to ensure coordinated care
Clinical Leadership / Team Support
- Serve as the clinical lead for a small outpatient team (1–2 staff)
- Review treatment plans, assessments, and progress notes as needed
- Provide case consultation and professional guidance
- Promote ethical, trauma-informed, patient-centered care
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure documentation meets clinical, payer, and regulatory standards
- Participate in quality assurance and clinical review activities
- Support organizational compliance with Medicaid and other payers
Credentialing & Program Support
- Serve as the credentialed provider for payer enrollment (Medicaid, commercial insurers)
- Administrative credentialing handled by the organization
Required Qualifications
- Board-certified PMHNP (PMHNP-BC) or eligible
- Eligible to practice independently
- Willing to obtain a Rhode Island license (support for cost provided)
- Individual NPI required
- 2+ years of psychiatric or behavioral health experience as an NP
- Experience working independently in outpatient settings
- Experience prescribing and managing psychotropic medications
- Bonus: But not required - Prior supervisory or clinical leadership experience (formal or informal)
