Title: Global Tax Manager
Duration: W2 Contract 4 Month, Possible Conversion to FTE
Location: Remote, USA
Payrate: $75+/hr + Benefits, PTO, Paid Holidays

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, we are seeking a Manager, Global Tax to oversee all aspects of the company’s tax compliance and reporting. This role will manage direct tax matters, including coordination with external accounting firms for tax provisions, tax returns, K-1s and various tax projects and studies. Additionally, this role will oversee an indirect tax professional to ensure accurate and timely compliance with sales, use, VAT, and other indirect tax obligations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee external accounting firm’s preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns, and the annual tax provision.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of K-1s for applicable entities.
- Maintain tax calendars and ensure timely filings and payments.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for tax positions and compliance requirements.
- Supervise and mentor indirect tax professional in managing sales, use, VAT, and other indirect tax filings.
- Monitor and mitigate tax-related risks, including exposure to audits and penalties.
- Support audits and inquiries external accounting firm and tax authorities.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, and external advisors on tax planning and compliance matters.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for all tax questions and issues for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies.
- Provide tax-related input for financial forecasts and budgets.
- Automate and streamline tax workflows to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or advanced tax certification preferred.
- Tax experience at Big 4 or large national/regional firm preferred.
- 6+ years of progressive tax experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Prior supervisory experience required.
- Experience in consumer goods, e-commerce, retail, or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
