Logistics Specialist

Payrate: $30/hr

3 Month Assignment

Our leading Medical Device client is hiring a logistics specialist at the Santa Clara location. The Logistics Specialist will primarily be responsible for the “order-to-cash” sequence including order processing, shipping, receiving, and inventory control. This person is also responsible for the daily management and accuracy of the QAD ERP system. Other duties may be assigned as business requirements decide.

Responsible for performing all duties in compliance with all applicable worldwide regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Process inbound and outbound inventory transactions in a manner that is both timely and accurate.
  • Processing and building medical device instrument sets through the work order process.
  • Prioritize the daily workload to minimize the impact of external constraints such as carrier pick up times.
  • Have strong relationship building skills to be able to integrate into a diverse sales organization.
  • Have enough analytical skills to maintain data integrity in the ERP system. Ensure that orders are managed consistent with Sales priorities and communicate order status.
  • Support the company’s Quality System.
  • In the event of potential non-compliance with applicable standards or regulations (e.g. FDA QSRs, ISO 13485 or ISO 14971), the employee has the authority to hold any product or Quality documentation from shipment or further processing. The employee has the responsibility and authority to report any instances to Quality and/or Regulatory and the respective management team.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and familiarity of applicable regulations/standards (e.g. ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR 820, EU MDR 2017/745, ISO 14971) as required to perform the job function.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent personnel management and time management, as well as the ability to perform duties with minimal staff and administrative support.
  • Take initiative, to meet deadlines, and to work with minimal supervision.
  • Handle a multi-task job and appropriately prioritize.
  • Interpret and apply policies and procedures appropriately.
  • The ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of transactional accounting flows in an ERP environment including receipts, inventory, and adjustments.
  • Medical device industry experience is strongly preferred.
