Job Title: Video Media Manager
Location: Hybrid – Cupertino, CA (+Onsite as needed in Sunnyvale)
Payrate: $100/hour
Duration: 12-Month assignment
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Video Media Manager to support video ingest and post-production workflows while serving as a subject matter expert for video-related Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems. This role will collaborate cross-functionally to expand DAM capabilities for final content delivery, internal content libraries, and work-in-progress workflows.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in video production and post-production processes, strong organizational skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with producers, camera teams, and post-production partners to ensure smooth video ingest workflows and processes.
- Organize incoming shoot content into structured project folders across SAN and Frame.io environments.
- Ingest, process, and transcode footage captured on-device and from third-party cameras.
- Generate proxy files as needed.
- Ensure established shoot standards are upheld.
- Develop and maintain workflows and best practices for new and existing video formats.
- Manage archiving processes at project close, ensuring parity between Frame.io and SAN storage.
- Fulfill compression requests and deliver final assets to internal partners as requested.
- Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for video-specific DAM features.
- Partner with DAM product managers and stakeholders to define, build, test, and refine video-specific system features.
- Transition workflows into DAM environments as needed.
- Provide onsite support as required, including potential involvement on Bay Area shoots as a Digital Imaging Technician (DIT).
Required Qualifications

8–10 years of experience in video production, post-production, or video-focused digital asset management.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Pro Tools, and Frame.io.
- Strong understanding of industry-standard video formats, workflows, systems, and production concepts.
- Experience working with network storage systems (SAN, NFS, SMB), DAM platforms, and CMS systems.
- Familiarity with metadata standards and application.
- Experience with emerging video technologies and file formats.
- Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with close attention to detail.
- Proven ability to build credibility and collaborative relationships across large, cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable navigating rapid change.
- Ability to manage high-level responsibilities with strong accountability for outcomes.
- Solid understanding of consumer technology products and retail environments.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience required.
