W2 Contract 3-4 Months
Remote, USA
$65-75/hr
We are a profitable, growing, remote-first technology company headquartered in San Jose, CA. Our communication apps including TextFree, Sideline, and Index have been downloaded by hundreds of millions of iOS and Android users worldwide.
We’re looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team and create compelling digital experiences and marketing creative across our brands.
The Role
This is a hands-on design role combining digital marketing, motion/video, web design, and generative AI.
You’ll partner with Marketing, Growth, and Social teams to develop high-quality creative for paid advertising, social media, websites and landing pages, app stores, and in-app/lifecycle campaigns. You’ll also use generative AI throughout the creative process to explore concepts, develop imagery and video, create variations, and accelerate production.
We’re looking for someone with excellent design fundamentals who understands how to turn both traditional and AI-assisted concepts into polished, original, brand-ready creative.
What You'll Do
- Concept and design digital marketing assets across web, paid media, social, app stores, and in-app/lifecycle campaigns.
- Create performance advertising for YouTube, Meta, TikTok, and other paid acquisition channels.
- Produce motion graphics and short-form video for YouTube, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other social platforms.
- Design and maintain websites and landing pages, including publishing and updating content in WordPress.
- Adapt and resize creative across different platforms, placements, markets, dimensions, and file formats.
- Use generative AI to develop concepts, imagery, video, creative variations, and new visual directions.
- Art direct, composite, retouch, and refine AI-generated content into polished, production-ready creative.
- Build reusable AI prompts, templates, reference libraries, and workflows that improve creative quality, consistency, and speed.
- Evaluate emerging AI creative tools and recommend solutions based on quality, control, security, workflow fit, and commercial-use considerations.
- Review AI-assisted work for artifacts, inaccuracies, bias, representation, brand risk, accessibility, and intellectual-property concerns.
- Present concepts and creative rationale to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into final work.
- Partner with Growth and Marketing teams to evaluate creative performance and apply learnings to future campaigns.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines while consistently delivering accurate, production-ready work.
- Design with accessibility in mind, including legibility, hierarchy, color contrast, captions, and cross-device usability.
- Follow company standards around confidential information, customer data, intellectual property, AI/model usage, representation, disclosure, and content provenance.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional graphic/digital design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating brand design, digital advertising, social creative, websites/landing pages, and conceptual work.
- Experience designing marketing creative for consumer-facing mobile apps or subscription products.
- Advanced proficiency with Figma, including shared design systems and component libraries.
- Advanced experience with WordPress, HTML/CSS, and web-content publishing, including familiarity with different WordPress themes and editors.
- Advanced proficiency with generative AI creative tools, such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Midjourney, Runway, Adobe Firefly, Ideogram, Flux, Creatify, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated professional experience using AI beyond basic prompting—including art direction, evaluation, compositing, retouching, and refining AI outputs into production-quality creative.
- Experience with AI video, voice, audio, and/or avatar tools.
- Strong understanding of when generative AI adds value and when traditional design, illustration, photography, or production methods are more appropriate.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.
- Strong motion design and short-form video skills, including pacing, sound, hooks, platform conventions, and visual storytelling.
- Excellent visual judgment and attention to detail, including the ability to identify subtle inconsistencies or artifacts in both AI- and designer-generated work.
- Ability to take a creative brief from initial concept through final production, present creative rationale, and respond thoughtfully to feedback.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Art, Visual Communication, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Curiosity and willingness to continuously learn as creative and AI tools evolve.
- Commitment to responsible AI use, inclusive representation, accessibility, brand safety, and intellectual-property standards.
Nice to Have
- Experience with the Kadence WordPress theme.
- Experience creating Apple App Store and Google Play Store creative, including screenshots, preview videos, and creative testing.
- Experience building AI-first creative production workflows.
