Are you a strategic inventory planning professional who thrives on balancing data, forecasting, and supply chain execution? We're seeking an experienced Planning Manager to lead end-to-end inventory planning and supply chain operations for a fast-growing global consumer brand. In this highly visible role, you'll influence inventory strategy, optimize product availability, and partner cross-functionally to maximize sales, profitability, and operational efficiency across wholesale, ecommerce, and direct-to-consumer channels.

What You'll Do

  • Develop seasonal sales, inventory, and margin plans that align with business objectives and financial targets.
  • Lead Open-to-Buy (OTB) planning and monthly inventory budgeting to optimize inventory investment.
  • Build detailed demand forecasts by SKU, category, season, and sales channel using historical trends and market insights.
  • Establish replenishment strategies, reorder points, and inventory policies to maximize product availability while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Analyze inventory performance through key metrics including sell-through, stock turns, weeks of supply, forecast accuracy, and stockout risk.
  • Manage purchase order planning based on demand forecasts while balancing purchasing efficiencies with inventory risk.
  • Partner with purchasing and logistics teams to monitor inbound shipments and maintain accurate delivery timelines within ERP systems.
  • Oversee strategic inventory allocation across ecommerce, wholesale, and retail channels to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify inventory imbalances and execute reallocation strategies to improve full-price sell-through.
  • Lead inventory control activities including audits, reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution to maintain data integrity.
  • Develop end-of-life inventory strategies including markdowns, promotions, and liquidation initiatives.
  • Deliver accurate inventory reporting and actionable insights to support executive decision-making.
  • Create contingency plans to proactively address supply chain disruptions and changing market demand.

 

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 4–7+ years of experience in inventory planning, demand planning, merchandise planning, or supply chain planning.
  • Experience in retail, ecommerce, consumer products, footwear, apparel, or other product-driven industries preferred.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills with the ability to analyze large data sets and drive business decisions.
  • Experience working with ERP or inventory management platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Shopify, Cin7, or similar systems.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting methodologies, inventory optimization, replenishment planning, and financial inventory management.
  • Experience managing Open-to-Buy (OTB) planning and inventory budgets.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with purchasing, merchandising, logistics, and operations teams.
  • Professional proficiency in English is required.
