Laboratory Associate ( Pharma/Medical Device)

$40-$47hr ( Weekly pay + Benefits)

6 month contract ( Excellent potential for extension or permanent)

Full-time: M-F 7am-4:30pm ( onsite)

Together they are helping people everywhere live longer, healthier lives! The candidate plays a crucial role in the laboratory setting, supporting scientists and engineers in various aspects of biotechnology research and development.

 

 

Duties:

 

Laboratory Operations and Prototype Maintenance:

  • Equipment: inspection, cleaning, calibration and operation of eng lab equipment, such as centrifuges, thermal cyclers, and PCR engineering devices including prototypes.
  • Reagent preparation: Preparing buffers, instrument consumables and media required for experiments and tests.
  • Laboratory organization: Maintaining a clean, neat organized, and safe laboratory environment.

Instrument Development:

  • Experimental setup: Hands-on support to R&D engineers in setting up experiments, test bed setups and assembly, including preparing plates, reagents, always following laboratory and company protocols.
  • Data collection: Recording experimental data, making and documenting observations, and maintaining accurate laboratory records.

Quality Control and Assurance

  • Documentation: Maintaining detailed documentation of experimental procedures and report to , results, and quality control data.
  • Compliance: Adhering to laboratory safety regulations, good laboratory practices (GLP), and quality management systems (QMS).

Technical Support

  • Troubleshooting: Identifying and helping to resolve technical issues with equipment or experimental procedures and communicates to the technical team.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate's degree or equivalent, preference in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Biotech)
  • 8+ years experience working in lab setting
  • Working knowledge of instrumentation and lab equipment
  • Ability to operate lab/test equipment
  • Some knowledge on and assembling instruments
  • Experience with PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) is a plus
  • Experience in Harness Build is a plus
  • Must have experience using hand tools and measurement equipment
  • PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) rework is a plus.
  • Worked in a fast-paced environment with ability to change directions, must be able to quickly adapt and execute in a short notice.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems, cGMP, GLP(Good Lab Practices) procedures.
  • Working collaboratively with scientists, R&D engineers, Product Support and other team members to achieve project goals. Always maintaining a high level of communication
  • Proficient at troubleshooting problems to the component level and performing root cause analysis of the failure
