Regional Event Programming Director – West

Location: Hybrid – Culver City, CA (**Local candidates only)

Pay Rate: $90–$98/hr

Duration: 12-month assignment

Hours: 40 hours/week



Summary:


Our Retail Engagement, Marketing, and Merchandising (REMM) team drives culturally relevant programming that inspires, educates, and engages both our retail customers and employees. We are seeking a Regional Programming Director – West to lead the strategy, execution, and oversight of programming across the Western region. This role is responsible for designing and delivering high-impact in-store, virtual, and digital experiences that align with business objectives and bring the retail experience to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement regional programming strategies that deliver engaging, culturally relevant experiences across all formats (in-store, virtual, and digital).
  • Lead programming initiatives for the Western region, collaborating closely with store teams, internal partners, and external talent.
  • Build and maintain quarterly and yearly programming roadmaps, including KPIs to track and measure program effectiveness.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams—Programming, Production, Creative, Product Marketing, PR, Store Operations, Internal Comms, Training, Merchandising, Finance, Online Store, Store Strategies, Publishing, Procurement, Marcom—to ensure alignment and seamless execution.
  • Curate talent and experiences that align with brand values and resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Analyze program performance and audience engagement metrics to optimize and refine strategies.
  • Support pan-geo initiatives in collaboration with other Regional Programming Directors and Programming Producers, ensuring strategic alignment with business priorities.
  • Manage multiple high-profile projects simultaneously while maintaining operational excellence and attention to detail.


What You Bring:

  • 8–12+ years of experience in programming, event management, or experiential marketing, preferably in retail, cultural, or creative industries.
  • Proven experience designing and leading high-profile programming, events, or content initiatives across multiple formats (live, virtual, broadcast).
  • Strong ability to translate business objectives into engaging, measurable experiences.
  • Significant experience managing and influencing cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Deep understanding of cultural and creative industries in the Western region, with established connections to relevant talent.
  • Exceptional project management, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to brief executives and stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-profile environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in global program management or cross-cultural event delivery.
  • Familiarity with data-driven performance measurement and audience analytics.
  • Strong storytelling and content curation skills.
  • Experience managing multiple large-scale events simultaneously.
