Product Manufacturing Chemist (Pharma/Science)

Portland, Maine 04103 (**Local candidates. Onsite)

$35hr (Weekly pay + Benefits)

36month contract (Excellent potential for extension or permanent)

Full-time- M-F 7:30am-4pm

Perform product manufacturing in cell culture and protein purification, material planning for production builds and work with R&D on transferring new products into development. Make products per Standard Operating Procedures. Troubleshoot manufacturing issues.


How You'll Make An Impact:


  • Work on assignments and projects that are diversified and use your ability to multi-task.
  • Work independently.
  • Train on procedures for manufacturing processes.
  • Improve processes to reduce costs and improve yields.


What You Bring:


  • Bachelor’s degree in a life science or related field.
  • 3-8 years as a Chemist working in manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in formulating products in the areas of biological sciences, pharma, medical device, life sciences, or an equivalent
  • Experience in performing product manufacturing in cell culture and protein purification.
  • Some knowledge of material planning for production builds working with R&D
  • Experience working in a GMP manufacturing environment
  • Experience as lead chemist experience is a plus
  • Experience leading teams or projects
  • Solid computer skills
