Title: Healthcare Project Manager, Oncology and Revenue Cycle

Pay Rate: Up to $75/hour

Duration: 3 to 6 Month contract

Hours: Full-Time

Location: Cincinnati, OH (Hybrid)


Summary

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Project Manager to lead multiple short-term initiatives for a healthcare provider, with a focus on oncology implementations, revenue cycle projects, and related operational improvements.


In this role, you will manage several concurrent deliveries, coordinate clinical, operational, revenue cycle, technology, and leadership stakeholders, and guide projects from initial planning through implementation and closeout. The ideal candidate has direct healthcare provider experience and can quickly establish project structure, organize competing priorities, and drive projects toward measurable results.


What You'll Do

  • Plan and lead multiple concurrent oncology implementation, revenue cycle, and healthcare provider projects
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resources, governance, and success measures
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, status reports, risks, issues, dependencies, and action items
  • Coordinate clinical, operational, revenue cycle, technology, vendor, and leadership stakeholders throughout project delivery
  • Facilitate requirements-gathering, workflow, readiness, and implementation meetings
  • Monitor project performance and identify potential delays, barriers, or resource challenges
  • Develop practical mitigation and recovery plans when projects are at risk
  • Support system testing, workflow validation, training, change readiness, go-live, and stabilization activities
  • Manage multiple short-duration projects and competing priorities simultaneously
  • Prepare concise project updates and recommendations for sponsors and senior leadership
  • Escalate decisions, risks, or issues requiring leadership attention
  • Support the transition of completed projects to clinical or operational ownership
  • Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained throughout the engagement


What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Information Systems, Nursing, or a related field
  • 5+ years of project management experience within a healthcare provider, hospital, health system, or healthcare consulting environment
  • Experience leading clinical, revenue cycle, operational, or healthcare technology implementations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of healthcare provider workflows, implementation readiness, and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience coordinating clinical, operational, technical, and vendor stakeholders
  • Strong project planning, facilitation, risk management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience preparing status reports and presenting project information to senior leadership
  • Proficiency with project management platforms and Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to support the required hybrid schedule in Cincinnati


Bonus Points If You Have

  • Direct experience leading oncology-related projects or implementations
  • Direct experience leading revenue cycle improvement or implementation initiatives
  • Experience with patient access, billing, coding, claims, denials, reimbursement, or revenue integrity projects
  • Experience supporting electronic health record or healthcare technology implementations
  • Experience with go-live planning, stabilization, training, and change management
  • PMP certification
  • Lean Six Sigma or healthcare project management certification
