Jr. Human Resource/ Recruiter
Location: Santa Clarita (Valencia), CA 91355 (Onsite – local candidates only)
Compensation: $72K–$79K/year + excellent benefits
Type: Permanent – Direct Hire
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday (start time between 7:30am–8:00am)
Our client is an early-stage medical device company developing the first implantable neurostimulation device for the treatment of chronic inflammation.

As the HR Assistant/Generalist, you’ll play a hands-on role in supporting both employees and leadership across all HR functions. Job Responsibilities
- Support HR Manager with recruiting – develop recruitment plans, post job openings, and monitor recruiting budgets and expenses.
- Manage applicant tracking through all stages of the hiring process, including pre-employment screening, offer coordination, and onboarding to ensure a smooth and compliant candidate experience.
- Manage interview schedules for hiring managers, interview panels, and candidates; coordinate candidate transportation, lodging, and expense reimbursement process.
- Welcome candidates and facilitate a smooth interview process by overseeing and escorting candidates between interviews.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions, support conflict resolution, and escalate complex issues to HR Manager as needed.
- Ensure data integrity by maintaining accurate employee records in the HRIS.
- Facilitate performance review cycles and goal setting; track progress and provide guidance on professional development opportunities.
- Assist with new employee onboarding, promotions, and terminations by updating phone lists, org charts, calendars, and job descriptions.
- Monitor employee time off requests in HRIS, verify as needed, and approve/deny requests based on company policies. Communicate outcomes and update the companywide calendar.
- Coordinate final pay, COBRA notices, and system deactivations upon employee termination.
- Generate and analyze HRIS reports to support compliance requirements (EEO, ACA, pay equity), assist with internal/external audits, and provide workforce insights to HR Manager and VP of Operations.
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in an HR support or generalist role.
- Growth opportunities in HR functions and interested in recruiting support.
- Must have experience with recruiting: posting jobs and managing all stages of the hiring process.
- Experience managing interview schedules, including panel interviews.
- Experience with general HR duties: maintaining employee records, facilitating performance reviews, assisting with onboarding and promotions.
- Some knowledge of benefits and leave administration; ability to coordinate final pay and system deactivation upon termination.
- Able to support open enrollment.
- People-focused, engaging, and enjoys interacting with employees.
- Experience with HRIS systems and applicant tracking systems.
- Highly organized, strong multi-tasking ability, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and able to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
- Advanced knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and MS Word.
