Title: Business Analyst, M&A Integration

Pay Rate: Up to $75/hour

Duration: Contract

Hours: Full-Time

Location: Milwaukee, WI (Hybrid, onsite 3 days per week)


Summary

We are seeking one to two experienced Business Analysts to support merger and acquisition integration planning for two acquisitions within the Energy, Resources, and Industrials industry.


In this role, you will work across business and functional teams to evaluate current-state operations, identify integration requirements and dependencies, document key decisions, and help develop actionable integration plans. The ideal candidate has experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, post-merger integrations, enterprise transformations, or other complex cross-functional initiatives.


What You'll Do

  • Support integration planning activities across two acquisition workstreams
  • Conduct discovery sessions and document current-state business processes, systems, data flows, controls, and operational dependencies
  • Partner with functional leaders and subject matter experts to identify integration requirements and priorities
  • Facilitate workshops across operations, finance, human resources, technology, supply chain, sales, and other impacted business functions
  • Develop current-state and future-state process maps and supporting documentation
  • Identify process gaps, overlaps, potential synergies, transition requirements, and integration risks
  • Maintain integration workplans, requirements, issue logs, decision logs, risks, dependencies, and action items
  • Support Day 1 readiness and post-close integration planning activities
  • Translate findings into clear requirements, status materials, and recommendations for program leadership
  • Coordinate with project managers and workstream leaders to monitor progress and validate assumptions
  • Escalate integration barriers, unresolved decisions, and delivery risks as appropriate
  • Ensure integration documentation is accurate, organized, and completed within established timelines


What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of business analysis, integration, transformation, or project experience
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, or post-merger integration initiatives
  • Strong process mapping, requirements documentation, data analysis, and stakeholder facilitation skills
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple business functions and levels of leadership
  • Ability to organize large volumes of information and convert findings into practical integration actions
  • Experience maintaining project plans, integration trackers, decision logs, and risk registers
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, or comparable process-mapping and project-tracking tools
  • Ability to work onsite in Milwaukee three days per week


Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience supporting multiple acquisitions or integration workstreams simultaneously
  • Experience within an industrial, manufacturing, energy, engineering, or related organization
  • Experience supporting Day 1 readiness, transition service agreements, or post-close integration planning
  • Familiarity with integration management offices or formal M&A integration methodologies
  • Experience supporting functional integration across finance, human resources, technology, operations, or supply chain
  • CBAP, PMP, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or related professional certification
