Title: Dataiku Migration Specialist
Location: U.S. Remote **Must be authorized to work in the USA**
Duration: 3–6-month assignment
Pay: $60 - $95 /hr. (depending on experience)
Overview:
The Dataiku Migration Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the migration of Dataiku projects, datasets, and workflows between internal Dataiku instances. This role ensures seamless continuity of analytics operations by validating compatibility, preserving project functionality, and minimizing disruptions for end users.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess existing Dataiku projects and dependencies (e.g., datasets, plugins, APIs, connections, code environments, automation scenarios) to determine migration requirements.
- Design and document a repeatable, secure migration strategy aligned with organizational governance and security standards.
- Execute migrations through project exports/imports, connection remapping, and environment recreation across Dataiku instances.
- Collaborate closely with platform administrators, data engineers, and project owners to identify and resolve compatibility or configuration issues.
- Validate post-migration functionality through comprehensive testing of workflows, recipes, models, and automation scenarios.
- Maintain detailed logs of all migrated assets and provide clear progress updates to stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to streamline future migrations, including implementing automation where feasible.
Required Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with Dataiku DSS project structure, deployment workflows, and administration.
- Strong understanding of data connections (SQL, cloud storage, APIs) and code environments (Python, R, plugins).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
