Full Time, Direct Hire

$130,000–$175,000/year+ 30% target bonus + equity

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Staff Technical Program Manager – Hardware/Devices to join our Device Engineering organization and lead complex connected-device programs from early concept and design through manufacturing ramp and mass production.

We are looking for a technically strong hardware program leader who has successfully taken complex electronic products from concept through production. The ideal candidate has firsthand experience managing EVT, DVT, PVT, NPI, manufacturing ramp, and factory builds and can operate credibly with electrical, firmware, RF, mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineering teams.

You will not be expected to personally design every component or troubleshoot every technical issue. However, you must understand hardware development well enough to participate meaningfully in engineering discussions, recognize technical risks, ask informed questions, challenge assumptions, and drive issues through resolution.

This is a highly cross-functional role requiring someone who can move comfortably between detailed engineering discussions and broader conversations around program schedules, manufacturing, product quality, risk, and business priorities.

What You'll Do

  • Lead complex connected-device programs from concept and architecture through EVT, DVT, PVT, NPI, manufacturing ramp, mass production, and post-launch support.
  • Own overall program schedules, milestones, dependencies, engineering actions, risks, build plans, BOM readiness, and material planning.
  • Drive cross-functional execution across electrical hardware, firmware, RF, mechanical engineering, industrial design, client software, cloud, test, operations, and manufacturing teams.
  • Partner with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and other stakeholders on product roadmap and development planning.
  • Facilitate technical design reviews and engineering discussions, ensuring decisions, dependencies, risks, and actions are clearly understood and tracked.
  • Identify technical and program risks early and drive mitigation plans through resolution.
  • Challenge assumptions and escalate issues when necessary to protect product quality, schedule, cost, and business objectives.
  • Manage relationships and execution with ODMs, contract manufacturers, and overseas engineering/manufacturing partners.
  • Lead and coordinate engineering builds, including build readiness, materials, engineering samples, test plans, test reports, and sample distribution.
  • Coordinate regulatory certification activities required for successful product launches.
  • Participate in end-to-end functional, reliability, and performance testing.
  • Track Alpha/Beta issues and drive cross-functional teams toward timely resolution.
  • Support sustaining engineering and post-launch product activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve hardware-development processes, communication, and overall program execution.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in hardware technical program management, device program management, hardware engineering, or a closely related role.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex electronic hardware products from early development through EVT, DVT, PVT, NPI, manufacturing ramp, and mass production.
  • Strong working knowledge of electronic hardware development, including PCBs
