Media Project Manager

New York City, NY (*Local candidates - Hybrid, 3 days Onsite)

$60-$85/hr (Weekly pay + Medical Benefits)

Long-term Contract (12+ months; can go up to 3yrs)


A major player in the media and entertainment space is seeking Project Managers/Project Analyst role to support a long-term, strategic transformation initiative. Candidates should be strong collaborators, capable of managing project workstreams independently while occasionally jumping into functional problem-solving alongside business leads.

The team is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager to join the New Yor office. The ideal candidate will support project planning, execution, and delivery by providing analysis, reporting, and coordination. This role acts as a bridge between cross-functional teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project planning, execution, and closure phases
  • Track project timelines, milestones, budgets, and deliverables
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and dashboards
  • Analyze project performance data and recommend improvements
  • Monitor risk and issue logs and assist in mitigation strategies
  • Assist in preparing presentations for stakeholders and executive updates
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with strategic objectives
  • Use project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, Smartsheet) to track progress and communicate effectively
  • Identify process inefficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, or relevant experience
  • 3-12 years of experience in project management for a global company
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong experience collaboration with internal, external leadership and stakeholders
  • Experience to prepare updates and reporting for internal stakeholders, including leadership
  • Experience to partner with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and delivery
  • Knowledge of Agile or Waterfall project methodologies
  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with project management tools and software – Jira or Asana,
  • Bonus: Experience with Smartsheet
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bonus: PMP, CAPM, or Agile certification is a plus
  • Media/entertainment is a big plus
  • Must be local to NYC and available to work in-office at least 3 days/week
