Job Title: HR Compliance Specialist (Global Compliance)
Payrate: $40 - $50/hr
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Duration: 12-month assignment
Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Compliance Specialist to support global compliance programs across both U.S. and international operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, including HR compliance and deemed export control processes.
The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, communicates clearly and confidently, and brings a strong ability to manage complex compliance workflows with accuracy and discretion. You will collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Legal, and external partners to maintain compliance standards and drive operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Process deemed export compliance activities, including reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues with internal stakeholders
- Support additional HR compliance programs such as background checks and global right-to-work processes
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to gather data and support export license requests, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
- Collaborate with Legal, HR, and external partners to interpret and meet regulatory and government requirements
- Develop and maintain internal guidelines, policies, and communications for compliance programs
- Coordinate and manage reporting processes in alignment with compliance requirements and deadlines
- Track and manage government contract clearances and maintain accurate compliance records
- Stay current on global regulatory requirements and compliance standards
- Handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
What You Bring
- 4–5 years of experience in HR, compliance, or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners
- Ability to analyze and resolve compliance-related issues with accuracy and efficiency

- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and export control requirements
- Experience supporting global compliance programs across multiple regions
