Employee Relations Specialist (Remote)

Location: Remote

Pay Rate: $62/hour

Contract: 3 months (Great potential for extension)

Hours: Full-time (M-F)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join the team. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, providing guidance on performance management, coaching managers, and addressing complex employee relations matters. You will lead investigations with discretion, ensure fair and consistent handling of ER issues, and partner with legal teams as needed.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, ensuring concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct thorough, timely, and well-documented investigations.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance management, feedback delivery, and sensitive employee matters.
  • Partner with leaders to resolve employee conflicts and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Collaborate with Legal on complex employee relations cases, investigations, and disciplinary actions to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in all employee relations matters.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including at least 3 years focused on employee relations.
  • Must have recent experience leading and managing employee issues, investigations, and sensitive employee matters.
  • Strong experience coaching business leaders regarding employee matters and working comfortably with upper-level management and stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations practices, workplace investigations, and employment laws.
  • Experience partnering with legal teams on investigations or disciplinary actions.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems such as Workday (or similar)
  • Must have a professional presence and comfort interacting with leaders at all levels.
  • Ability to navigate complex employee relations scenarios and provide actionable guidance.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple investigations or ER issues simultaneously.
