What You'll Do
Payroll Tax Compliance
- Manage U.S. multi-state payroll tax compliance.
- Review and validate payroll tax filings to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
- Support year-end payroll tax activities, including W-2 processing and reporting.
- Maintain employer payroll tax registrations and account updates.
- Review employee tax setup to ensure accurate payroll tax calculations prior to payroll processing.
Payroll Tax Audits & Risk Management
- Manage payroll tax notices and correspondence from federal and state agencies.
- Support internal and external payroll tax audits.
- Prepare payroll tax amendments and corrections as needed.
- Maintain audit-ready payroll tax documentation and records.
- Identify compliance risks and recommend process improvements.
Vendor & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with third-party payroll tax vendors, including OSV.
- Collaborate closely with Payroll, HR, Finance, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor vendor performance and resolve payroll tax issues.
- Serve as a payroll tax subject matter expert for internal teams.
Reporting & Data Analysis
- Analyze payroll tax data and reporting using payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Perform payroll tax reconciliations and compliance reporting.
- Partner with payroll system teams to improve processes and enhance compliance functionality.

Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll tax and compliance experience.
- Strong expertise in U.S. multi-state payroll tax.
- Experience managing payroll tax notices, audits, and amendments.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
- Experience reviewing payroll tax filings and ensuring compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Workday Payroll.
- Experience working with payroll tax vendors such as OSV.
- Experience supporting large or global organizations.
- Exposure to international payroll tax processes across North America, EMEA, or LATAM.
- CPP or FPC certification is a plus.

We're looking for someone with 3–7+ years of dedicated payroll tax experience who can confidently manage multi-state payroll tax compliance, tax notices, audits, amendments, reporting, and reconciliations with minimal onboarding.
