Legal Operations Associate | Fully Remote | Switzerland
We are working with a fast-growing technology company helping businesses hire, manage and support talent across borders. Founded in 2022, they began by enabling companies of all sizes to employ people anywhere through an Employer of Record model. Today they continue to expand our platform into integrated HR solutions that remove friction from distributed work, allowing organisations to scale quickly and operate as truly borderless teams. We're hiring a Legal Ops Associate who will report to the Head of Legal, work daily with Operations, People, Sales and Product. You’ll have access to our existing contract and ticketing stack, a mandate to introduce better tools where they pay off, and a growing legal budget as we scale. Early-stage, high-ownership environment with real influence on how global employment actually gets done.
Responsibilities
- Stand up and run a contract lifecycle that cuts average turnaround on employment, MSA and vendor agreements by 30% within six months while keeping error rates near zero.
- Build and maintain a living playbook of entity, licensing and employment requirements across priority markets so Legal, Ops and Sales can launch new countries in days, not weeks.
- Own intake, triage and tracking of legal requests so 90% of standard matters close inside agreed SLAs and the team always knows what’s blocked and why.
- Design and implement templates, clause libraries and approval workflows that let commercial and people teams self-serve routine documents without sacrificing compliance.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to map legal requirements into the platform so new features ship with the right controls, not after-the-fact patches.
- Produce monthly operational dashboards (volume, cycle time, risk flags, audit readiness) that Legal leadership and the COO use to prioritise work and resource the function.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years in legal operations, legal ops at a high-growth SaaS/HR-tech/fintech, or a similar in-house role supporting multi-jurisdiction employment or commercial work.
- Proven delivery of measurable process improvements: templates, playbooks, SLAs or systems that reduced cycle time or risk.
- Comfort working across employment, commercial and regulatory documents in an EOR, payroll or staffing context.
- Strong project and stakeholder skills: you can chase, prioritise and communicate clearly with non-lawyers under time pressure.
- Data-aware: you track work, spot patterns and turn them into simple reports leadership will actually use.
