Senior Accountant – Crypto Trading Firm (NYC)

We’re partnering with a profitable, founder-led crypto trading and technology firm in NYC that’s continuing to grow and build out its in-house finance function. They’re looking for a Senior Accountant with hands-on crypto accounting experience who wants to play a meaningful role in how the finance team operates as the business scales.

This is a practical, high-impact role with real exposure to crypto trading activity and the chance to shape processes rather than just follow them.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading the month-end close and US GAAP financial reporting
• Managing accounting across multiple entities and jurisdictions
• Overseeing fiat operations, including banking, payments, and reconciliations
• Owning crypto accounting workflows, including transaction tracking and reconciliations
• Improving and documenting processes as crypto activity and volumes grow
• Working closely with external tax and accounting advisors
• Supporting the move from outsourced to in-house finance

What they’re looking for

• 5+ years’ experience in accounting, audit, or controllership roles
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience with multi-entity accounting
• Hands-on crypto accounting experience and an understanding of how it differs from traditional accounting
• Comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments
• CPA and/or audit background is a plus

Salary: $150,000 – $250,000 + discretionary bonus and benefits
