Data Scientist | London | Private Markets Data | Up to £70,000

We’re partnering with a fast growing private markets data platform that is transforming how private equity firms access and use financial data. Their SaaS platform is trusted by leading investors and fund administrators to deliver powerful insights across private markets.

Following strong growth, they are now looking for a Data Scientist to join the team and help build the intelligence layer of the platform.

Working at the intersection of data engineering, machine learning and product, you will design and deploy ML driven solutions that turn complex financial data into scalable insights.

This is a hands on role where experimentation, rapid iteration and production grade ML systems go hand in hand.

What You’ll Do:

• Build scalable data extraction pipelines using OCR and NLP to process private markets documents and reporting data.
• Apply LLMs to real world workflows, including prompt design and handling variability in model responses.
• Develop ML driven analytics that generate insights across product usage, operational efficiency and business performance.
• Build lightweight internal tools using Streamlit or similar to enable rapid experimentation and delivery.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product and data teams to ship reliable ML systems into production.
• Implement strong testing practices including unit and end to end tests to ensure long term reliability.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong Python skills for data workflows and applied machine learning.
• Experience delivering ML projects involving NLP or OCR.
• Experience building and deploying production ML systems end to end.
• Experience with tools such as Python, SQL, OpenAI or Azure OpenAI, LangChain, Streamlit, Databricks or Docker.
• Comfort working in small, fast moving teams with a strong product mindset.
