Network Engineer - Low Latency Trading

Location: Remote (US)

We are working with a top tier, proprietary trading firm operating globally across futures, equities, crypto & fixed income. Very tech-driven, small teams, fast decision-making, and a strong focus on automation and low-latency systems.

The Role

You’ll support and improve a 24/7 low-latency trading network. This includes routing, multicast, automation, monitoring and data centre connectivity. You’ll work closely with trading, infrastructure and development teams to keep systems fast, reliable and secure.

Responsibilities

• Support and optimise trading network infrastructure
• Automate and remove manual network processes
• Build and support remote data centre and colo connectivity
• Deploy monitoring and security tools to detect issues and reduce latency
• Take part in on-call and weekend maintenance when required

What You’ll Need

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, multicast, QoS and network performance tuning
• Experience in trading, HFT, market data or other low-latency environments
• Scripting or automation experience (Python, Ansible or similar)
• Hands-on with network monitoring and security tools
• Strong communication and documentation skills
