Senior Full Stack Engineer | New York City | Crypto Trading/DeFi | Up to $225K + bonus

They are a founder owned, bootstrapped crypto trading and technology firm running quant strategies, automated market making and DeFi infrastructure, executing hundreds of millions in weekly volume across CeFi and DeFi. The team is small, moves fast and is stacked with people from top trading firms and DeFi native protocols.

You'll own the build of their Unified Trading UI, the single platform that pulls together bot management, strategy configuration, risk monitoring and PNL visibility across every venue they trade on. There's no dedicated design function, so you'll be working directly with traders to shape the UX yourself and make the calls on layout and interaction. This is full stack ownership from schema to API to component, on a tool that traders rely on every single day.

Resonsibilities:

  • Design and build a consolidated trading UI covering bot lifecycle management, dynamic strategy config, real time status and alerting, and position/PNL visibility
  • Build a responsive React and TypeScript frontend that surfaces live data, supports safe parameter editing with validation and audit trails, and gives traders proper operational control
  • Design and maintain a Python REST API (Django or FastAPI) integrated with PostgreSQL, Redis for caching and real time streaming, and Celery for background tasks
  • Replace TOML and command line bot config with a UI driven system that has guardrails, validation and full change history
  • Own the reliability and observability of what you build, this sits on the critical path for trading ops

Skills/Experience:

  • Strong React and TypeScript experience including real time data patterns like WebSocket or polling
  • Solid Python backend experience with Django or FastAPI, REST API design, PostgreSQL and production deployment behind nginx
  • Experience with Redis and a task queue such as Celery
  • Comfortable owning a full stack independently without handing off between layers
  • Able to define and execute UX for internal tools without design support, based on direct research with traders
  • Strong communicator who can push back constructively when requirements are ambiguous or unsafe
  • Bonus points for crypto trading knowledge, Kafka experience, or background building internal tools in high stakes environments

If this sounds like your kind of challenge, apply with a CV!!

Thanks,

Chloe
