Backend Software Engineer | London | Hybrid | Up to £80,000 plus bonus

With strong financial backing and a fast-growing client base across Europe, they’re scaling quickly and looking for talented engineers to help build out their platform.

Your Role

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using modern frameworks
• Work across the full development lifecycle, from specification and architecture through to deployment
• Break down complex systems into manageable, well-tested deliverables
• Translate business requirements into clear technical solutions
• Foster a DevOps-first culture, ensuring robust and scalable delivery
• Participate in code reviews, share best practices, and mentor junior engineers

Skills Needed

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python development
• Proven experience in API development and integration
• Familiar with TDD, CI/CD, and refactoring best practices
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Exposure to microservices architecture and cloud-native environments
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work closely with cross-functional teams
• (Bonus) Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript on the frontend
