Position Summary:

The Resident Physician plays a vital role in the provision of medical care, diagnosis, and treatment for patients under the supervision and guidance of attending physicians and experienced medical staff. As a resident physician, you will contribute to the training and development of medical professionals while gaining valuable clinical experience in your chosen specialty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, physical examinations, and medical histories for patients.
  • Work closely with attending physicians to diagnose and develop treatment plans for patients.
  • Perform medical procedures, surgeries, and interventions, with direct supervision and guidance as needed.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians, nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in case discussions, rounds, and multidisciplinary meetings to contribute to the development of treatment plans.
  • Engage in a structured residency program, including didactic learning, clinical rotations, and research opportunities.
  • Pursue ongoing medical knowledge through self-study, attending lectures, and involvement in research projects.
  • Mentor and supervise medical students and junior residents in their clinical duties, providing guidance and support.
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients, adhering to hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and submit timely progress notes, reports, and discharge summaries.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and ethical standards in medical practice.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and informed consent are respected at all times.
  • Engage in clinical research projects, case reports, or quality improvement initiatives to contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge.
  • Present research findings at conferences and contribute to medical literature.
  • Stay updated with the latest medical advancements, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Seek feedback from mentors and supervisors to enhance medical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school and possession of a valid and unrestricted medical license.
  • Enrollment in or completion of an accredited residency program in a specific medical specialty.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Collaborative and effective in a healthcare team, with strong clinical knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to ethical medical practice and patient confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and other healthcare software.
