To support continued growth, Allego is looking for a Financial Accountant with a strong affinity for Accounts Receivable (AR).
What you’ll be doing
No day is exactly the same. You will be part of a dynamic finance team responsible for maintaining accurate financial records while taking ownership of AR-related processes and improvements.
Your key responsibilities
General Accounting
- Record daily financial transactions (assets, liabilities, income, expenses)
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Prepare balance sheets and financial statements
- Maintain accurate documentation of financial transactions
- Assist with audits and compliance requirements
- Contribute to process optimization and automation initiatives
Accounts Receivable (AR) Focus
- Manage and monitor accounts receivable balances
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and manage collections
- Resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams and customers
- Perform AR reconciliations and aging analysis
- Improve AR processes and cash collection cycles
Banking & Cash Management
- Process bank statements and reconcile transactions
- Support daily cash reporting
- Assist with payment allocation and cash application
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Experience in a financial accounting role, with exposure to Accounts Receivable
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O)
- Strong Excel skills
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to work with international stakeholders
- Proactive and structured working style
- Willingness to work at least 3 days per week from the Arnhem office
