F&I Manager – Auto Dealership

Job Summary: 

The Virtual Finance & Insurance (F&l) Manager remotely sells new and used car buyers' financing and insurance programs. Virtual F&I managers also work with automotive financial lenders to give fair interest rates to buyers and programs. As with all positions within dealerships, F&I managers are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards. The F&I manager performs a variety of essential duties, including, but not limited to, the following: 

  • Offering vehicle financing and insurance remotely to customers and providing them with a thorough explanation of aftermarket products and extended warranties and a complete explanation of manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies. 

  • Processing financed and leased deals accurately, securing approval through financial sources, and ensuring the deals are funded by the lending institution. 

  • Assist customers in choosing the correct protection packages for their vehicle by presenting the menu products and their benefits 

  • Understanding and complying with federal, state, and local regulations that affect the new and used vehicle and finance departments. 

  • Understanding and complying with dealership regulations pertaining to car warranty and rate markups and reductions. 

  • Interact with sales team and sales managers to ensure transactions are completed accurately and to the customer’s satisfaction. 

 

 

 
Qualifications & Abilities: 

  • Advanced Sales and Finance Management Experience 

  • F&I Menu Experience 

  • Microsoft Office, Dealership DMS, and menu systems  

  • Excellent Communication Skills 

  • Effective Time Management 

 

 

 

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor's or Associate’s degree from College or University (Preferred); or 

  • 5-10 years of combined auto dealership / vendor experience and/or training; or 

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.  

  • AFIP Certification (Preferred)
