National Sales Manager – Vehicle Service Contracts (VSC & F&I Products)

Overview:

A market-leading F&I product provider is seeking a high-performing National Sales Manager to lead and scale a team of field-based Income Development Managers (IDMs), District Managers, and Regional Sales staff. This executive-level position is ideal for a strategic sales leader with deep experience in the Vehicle Service Contracts (VSC) space and a passion for coaching high-performing, dealer-facing teams.

This role requires a balance of hands-on leadership, strategic planning, and account development. The National Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving aggressive growth targets, optimizing team performance, and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction across a national footprint of franchise dealerships.


Key Responsibilities:


Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a national sales team of field reps, including Regional and District Managers
  • Establish performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability structures across the team
  • Conduct regular coaching, field visits, and training to elevate in-store execution and product penetration
  • Drive a culture of integrity, transparency, and results-oriented performance


Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and execute a national sales strategy focused on growing PNUR and product adoption
  • Support business development efforts with large dealer groups, agencies, and OEM partners
  • Oversee territory planning, team expansion, and market coverage initiatives
  • Align closely with Product, Training, and Operations teams to ensure consistency in field messaging and program delivery


Client & Partner Management:

  • Maintain relationships with strategic accounts, including dealer groups, administrators, and OEMs
  • Participate in national industry events, trade shows, and executive business reviews
  • Troubleshoot high-level account challenges and assist in closing complex deals
  • Ensure proactive communication and follow-up across all field engagements


Reporting & Analytics:

  • Monitor team and individual performance through dashboards, CRM, and financial reports
  • Track PNUR, product penetration, revenue, and profitability metrics
  • Deliver executive-level reporting and insights to leadership and stakeholders
  • Identify market trends and competitive threats to inform strategy and positioning


What You Bring:

  • Proven success in leading high-performing sales teams in the VSC, F&I, or automotive retail space
  • Experience selling or managing sales of branded or private-label F&I products
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and organizational skills
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and interpret performance data
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at the executive level
  • Deep understanding of dealership structures, F&I processes, and field execution models


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in automotive F&I, including 5+ years in a national or regional leadership role
  • CRM and dealership DMS proficiency required
  • AFIP Certification a plus
