Controller / CFO

A well-established Hyundai dealership is seeking a strong Controller / CFO to lead all accounting and financial operations. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining order and accountability, while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and financial discipline across the organization.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for bringing structure, visibility, and operational control to the financial side of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all dealership accounting operations and staff

• Manage month-end close and ensure timely, accurate financial statements

• Maintain and enforce accounting processes, controls, and compliance

• Oversee cash management, reconciliations, and internal audits

• Prepare and review sales tax, property tax, and related filings

• Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts

• Partner with ownership on financial reporting, forecasting, and decision-making

• Ensure OEM reporting requirements are met

• Support year-end audit process with CPA firm

Systems and Experience Required

• Proficient in Tekion DMS

• Strong working knowledge of RouteOne and Dealertrack funding

• Hyundai dealership experience within the past 5 years

• Experience with Truist banking and floor plan

• Familiarity with JMA products and portals

• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting

Qualifications

• Automotive dealership accounting experience required

• Previous Controller or CFO experience required

• Strong understanding of dealership financial statements and KPIs

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

• Ability to communicate financial information clearly across departments

• Proficient in Excel and financial reporting tools
