Overview:
A well-established franchise dealership is seeking a high-performing Service Manager to lead its fixed operations team. This is a prime opportunity for a hands-on leader with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, driving profitability, and creating a culture of accountability and performance.
As Service Manager, you’ll oversee the daily operations of the service department, manage a team of advisors and technicians, and ensure the highest standards in customer satisfaction, productivity, and compliance. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and motivate service advisors, technicians, and support staff
- Manage department performance, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and profitability goals are met
- Oversee scheduling, dispatching, and workflow management to optimize shop throughput
- Ensure outstanding customer satisfaction and resolve escalated service concerns
- Monitor and control expenses while driving sales of services, maintenance plans, and warranties
- Maintain compliance with all manufacturer, safety, and environmental standards
- Oversee warranty submissions, repair order audits, and parts coordination
- Collaborate with Parts and Sales departments to drive fixed operations performance
- Recruit, onboard, and coach staff to maintain a high-performing, customer-focused team
- Monitor and improve key KPIs: CSI, labor hours per RO, ELR, gross profit margins, and more
Qualifications:

3+ years of experience as a Service Manager or Assistant Service Manager in a franchised dealership
- In-depth knowledge of service department operations, warranty processes, and repair order flow
- Proven leadership and team-building skills with a track record of hitting fixed ops goals
- Strong customer service mindset with exceptional communication abilities
- Proficient in DMS systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, or similar)
- Highly organized and process-oriented with a focus on operational excellence
- Understanding of manufacturer programs, compliance, and incentive structures
- ASE Certification and/or OEM training a plus
