Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced F&I Trainer to lead training, performance development, and process improvement initiatives across a dealer network. This role is responsible for elevating F&I performance, strengthening compliance, improving product penetration, and building consistent, scalable results through best-in-class training and coaching.
This is a high-impact, field-facing role for a proven F&I leader who thrives on developing people, driving performance, and creating measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities
• Train and develop F&I managers and sales teams in both classroom and in-dealership environments
• Drive measurable improvement in PVR, product penetration, compliance, and overall F&I performance
• Implement and reinforce best-in-class F&I sales processes, presentation skills, and menu selling strategies
• Coach individuals and teams through observation, deal reviews, and in-store performance workshops
• Partner with dealer leadership, regional teams, and corporate stakeholders to standardize performance and execution
• Identify performance gaps and create targeted training and development plans
• Support the rollout of new products, processes, and initiatives
• Ensure adherence to compliance standards and ethical selling practices
• Represent the company professionally within dealer groups and at industry events
• Travel approximately 50 to 70 percent
Qualifications
• 5 plus years of experience in automotive F&I, with a strong background in training, performance, or multi-store leadership
• Proven track record of building high-performing F&I teams and driving measurable results
• Deep knowledge of F&I products, menu selling, compliance, and dealership operations
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and coaching skills
• Ability to influence, motivate, and develop professionals at all levels
• Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable working in a field-based role
• Professional presence and strong communication skills
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively
Preferred Background
• Former or current F&I Director, Regional F&I Manager, Performance Manager, or Senior F&I Trainer
• Experience working with dealer groups, large dealer networks, or automotive brands
• Experience leading change, process improvement, and performance transformation initiatives
