Shape the future of Health and Safety, supporting employees and students in Further Education as a Health & Safety Manager. An approachable and supportive person will thrive in this environment, providing Health and Safety advice and guidance, facilitating a proactive safety culture.

You will play a lead role to ensure Health and Safety standards are high and remain high across a variety of environments including the estates and subjects delivered such as construction, sciences, sports as well as lower risk environments. Responsible for coaching members of staff on safety matters as well as performing risk assessments and implementing policies, as well as updating them in line with legislation changes.

As the subject matter expert, you will coach both employees and students, so everyone understands their role and accountability for safety. As well as performing risk assessments and audits in line with policies and procedures. You will have an Administrator who will support you in this role.

Ideal candidate profile for the Health & Safety Manager role:

• NEBOSH qualified (or equivalent), ideally to Diploma level
• Strong understanding of Health and Safety legislation
• Approachable and willing to coach others on all safety related matters
• Able to manage diverse risks.
• Deliver risk assessments and audits

Package on offer is £35-45,000 plus excellent benefits package including 18.3% employer pension contribution and 30 days annual leave.
