Mechanical Design Engineer – Leicester

Vertical Recruitment are currently working with an exciting progressive engineering consultancy focused on building services across a wide range of projects nationwide. They have a young director team that puts client satisfaction, and their staffs work life balance first.

On offer is a new role in their main office in Leicester City Centre. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be using your expertise to design mechanical layouts across a wide range of projects including healthcare, education, residential, high rise, commercial and heritage buildings.

Reporting to the senior engineers, you will be part of close knitted team with an excellent working culture, hybrid working (2x a week), flexible working hours and an impressive 9 day working fortnight meaning extra days off.

Key Responsibilities

·      Full detailed mechanical design to meet deadlines with support from senior engineers/project lead.

·      Calculation works on a variety of mechanical layouts/systems such as domestic, ventilation, heating and cooling systems.

·      Manage personal design workloads and providing completed works to the senior engineer/project lead.

The Person

·      Ability to manage multiple projects to meet all assigned deadlines.

·      Proficient with AutoCAD, Hevacomp and ideally but not essential Revit.

·      Ideally a minimum of 3 years mechanical design experience.
