Senior/Principal Structural Engineer

Vertical Recruitment is working with an award-winning, employee-owned Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy. They’re involved in the design and delivery of buildings across a wide range of commercial, residential, leisure and industrial projects throughout the UK.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering on an ICE or IStructE accredited course
• 5+ years’ experience within a Structural Engineering consultancy environment
• Chartered or working towards Chartered status (IStructE or ICE)
• Proven experience delivering projects from concept through to completion
• Strong technical ability with a passion for high-quality, practical design solutions

You’ll be involved in:

• Leading the structural design process on a variety of projects, ensuring technical excellence and efficiency
• Managing project delivery, including resource planning, budgets and deadlines
• Mentoring and supporting Graduate and Intermediate Engineers, helping to develop their technical and professional skills
• Attending client and design team meetings and coordinating with other disciplines including Architects, M&E Engineers and the in-house Civils team
• Carrying out site inspections, reviewing reports, and providing technical input during construction
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of design standards and internal processes

This is a full-time, permanent position based in the Manchester office, located in the Northern Quarter.
