£45,000 - £55,000 | Hybrid | Leading Consultancy

About the Role


A leading multi-disciplinary Building Services Consultancy is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join one of their regional offices in Birmingham, Solihull, Oxford, Huntingdon or Bristol. The business delivers mechanical, electrical and low-carbon solutions across a diverse range of sectors including healthcare, education, residential, commercial, pharmaceutical, and public sector projects.


This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and sustainability-focused consultancy, working on technically complex and meaningful projects. You’ll lead project delivery, support junior engineers, and help drive innovation across the Electrical team.

Key Responsibilities


• Lead electrical design across a range of sectors

• Deliver low-carbon, energy-efficient building services solutions

• Mentor and support junior engineers

• Attend client meetings and present technical information

• Produce calculations, drawings, and specifications

• Oversee quality control and ensure technical excellence

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams


What we’re looking for


• Strong experience in Electrical Building Services Design

• Minimum 3–4 years’ post-qualification experience

• Experience with Amtech, Revit, Dialux/Relux, and Microsoft Office

• Familiarity with British Standards, Building Regs, and ideally HTMs

• Project background in healthcare, education, residential, or commercial sectors

• Chartered or working towards it (CIBSE, IET)

• Strong communication and project leadership skills

• Knowledge of renewable energy integration and BREEAM (ideal not essential)
