NEC4 Site Supervisor for Major Highways and Transportation Projects:
Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester
Position Type: Full-time (40 hours/week from September 2024 to March 2025, then 3 days/week until September 2025)
A Greater Manchester Council is seeking an experienced NEC4 site Supervisor to join their dynamic team. You will be working on a range of major and complex highways and transportation schemes, from construction to handover.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure projects funded by the Government’s Active Travel scheme and the City Region Sustainable Transport Settlements programme.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake Supervisor duties per the NEC3/4 contracts.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with stakeholders including contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Conduct regular site inspections and mitigate potential safety hazards.
- Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.
- Maintain accurate site records and prepare regular progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Manage change orders, compensation events, and other contractual issues.
- Supervise contractors on-site and verify valuations for completed works.
Requirements:
- Experience with local authority schemes in Greater Manchester.
- Experience with highways and transportation infrastructure projects, including walk/cycle schemes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with construction values ranging from £100k to £5m.
- Strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledgeable in CDM, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Driving Licence and business insurance.
- Relevant NEC contract and/or professional qualifications are advantageous.
- Appropriate level of CSCS Card or NEBOSH.
