Job Title: Mechanical Site Manager

Contract Type: 12-Month Contract

Day Rate: £350 per day

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join a leading building services contractor on a long-term project in the North East. You’ll be overseeing the mechanical installation works across either a school development or office building project, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all on-site mechanical building services works (HVAC, pipework, plant rooms, etc.)
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure adherence to programme and health & safety standards
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules
• Liaise with project managers, design teams, and clients to resolve site issues
• Oversee quality assurance and snagging processes
• Ensure all works comply with regulations and company procedures
• Produce progress reports and attend site meetings

Requirements

• Proven background as a Mechanical Site Manager / Mechanical Supervisor / M&E Site Manager within building services
• Experience managing projects within schools, offices, or similar commercial builds
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and installations
• Ability to manage subcontractors and multiple trades on site
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid preferred
