Job Title: Electrical Project Manager

Location: Croydon/Windlesham

Contract Type: 2 Year Contract

Day Rate: £400 per day (Negotiable)

Start Date: Immediate


About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee the delivery of commercial and pharmaceutical refurbishment projects across Windlesham. The clients office is based in Croydon so both locations need to be easily commutable. My client is one of London’s leading M&E engineering companies.


You will manage electrical works from design coordination through to testing, commissioning, and client handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of electrical refurbishment projects, including lighting, power, containment, small power, fire alarms, and any specialist systems within pharmaceutical environments.
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, and resource management to meet key deadlines.
  • Coordinate and manage electrical subcontractors and suppliers on site.
  • Review technical drawings and specifications, resolving design or installation issues as they arise.
  • Maintain strict compliance with health & safety, QA, and building regulations.
  • Hold regular site meetings and provide progress updates to management and clients.
  • Oversee testing, inspection, commissioning, and final handover of electrical systems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager on commercial or pharmaceutical refurbishment projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services within live or occupied environments.
  • Confident in managing budgets, cost tracking, and subcontractor performance.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Solid understanding of LV distribution, lighting control, containment, and structured cabling.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of BS7671 Wiring Regulations and relevant electrical standards.
  • CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid certifications desirable.
  • Recognised electrical qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent) preferred.
