Associate Electrical Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for an Associate Electrical Engineer to take a senior role within the business. You’ll be leading project teams, managing client relationships, and driving the delivery of high-quality electrical designs across a diverse range of projects.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and managing project teams to deliver the full range of electrical design services from concept through to detailed design
- Taking overall responsibility for project delivery, ensuring quality, deadlines, and budgets are met
- Technically hands on, getting involved with design projects
- Acting as a key client liaison, building strong long-term relationships and representing the business at meetings and presentations
- Providing technical leadership across a wide range of building services projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and Health & Safety regulations
- Guiding and mentoring junior and intermediate engineers, supporting their technical and professional development
- Advising clients and design teams on energy efficiency, sustainable design, and innovative electrical engineering solutions
- Coordinating closely with in-house and external multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and surveyors
What we need from you:
- 7 + years’ experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within a building services consultancy environment
- Proven ability to lead projects from inception to completion, with strong technical knowledge in electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarms, security, and containment
- Experience managing and mentoring engineering teams
- Degree or higher qualification (HNC/HND) in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
- Strong competency in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux/Relux and other relevant design tools
- Chartered status or working towards chartership
